Hispanic Health Paradox: Using Markets for Substitute and Complementary Services
Deziree Jackson, Kelli Frias, and Deidre Popovich
Abstract:
Utilizing data collected previously collected in collaboration with research sponsored by the National Institute of Health, this work examines those consumers who use healthcare systems in both the United States and Mexico to garner insights about reports of lower disease prevalence. In addition, this work explores how taking advantage of these markets as complements rather than substitutes may affect the Hispanic Health Paradox.
